Kies says "device not supported"

I have installed kies on my notebook, it was working fine (Installed from CD with product).
After few days it asked for upgrade, i thought might be some bugs are fixed and upgraded to version 1.5.1.10062_42.
Now its not working properly.
When I connect device , it shows device is connected,but when I do any operation it says "device is not supported"
SO weired..

The current version of Kies is 1.5.1.10074_32.... it would be worth it to download the latest from Samsung's website and also run Crap cleaner on it!

after you uninstall the old version, run crap cleaner, then install the latest version of Kies and fingers crossed all should be good then
